PRODUCT SAFETY RECALL

At Zodiac (a Fluidra brand) we are committed to providing products of the highest quality, so the satisfaction of our customers with our products is our top priority. Despite our rigorous quality control processes, recently, we have been reported some cases of the battery blocks not performing as expected of the following automatic robotic cleaners:

Based on our investigations and analysis, the failure can lead to water intrusion into the battery block which together with other external factors can cause electronic overheating of the battery block.


Fluidra requests all consumers to check whether their automatic robotic cleaner is affected by this voluntary safety measure.

Where to find the serial number ?

 

The serial number of your cleaner is its unique identifier associated to the device during production. It is a suite of 18 characters starting by the 4 letters “ALCA”.

 

It is easily consultable in 3 possible locations :

  • on the carton of the cleaner on a sticker close to the barcode

  • underneath the cleaner on a small sticker 

  • inside the cleaner on a sticker visible when you open the cover and remove the filter canister.

Based on this serial number, your robot is not included in the Product Safety Recall campaign. This means that your product is not affected by a potential battery block issue.

You can continue enjoying your cleaner. Thank you for your collaboration.

If you have found your Serial Number, your automatic robotic cleaner belongs to the affected batches. To minimize the safety risk and as a precaution please disconnect your automatic pool cleaner if it shows any “user alert” or “error code” indicator lit up.

 

In order to mitigate this risk, we are therefore carrying out a voluntary recall of the automatic robotic cleaners affected. Fluidra After Sales service offering a free of charge replacement of the battery blocks of the units affected to every owner. Fluidra after sales service will collect the automatic robotic cleaner from your home, replace the battery block with a new one and return the automatic robotic cleaner to you.
